The Immigrant Investor Program (IIP) is for the experienced business people who can contribute to Canada’s growth and long-term prosperity by making a sizable investment into the Canadian economy.

IIP criteria:

Individuals must show that he/she has business experience

They mus have a minimum net worth of C$1,600,000 that was obtained legally

They should invest $800,000 in Canadian dollars

The investment made under this program is administered by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and is guaranteed by the Canadian provinces that use it to create jobs and help their economies grow.

Once the application is approved, the applicant must make the investment before a permanent resident visa is issued. It is usually done within 30 days.
