Express Entry Eligible Occupations from November 2022

Express Entry Eligible Occupations!! What is express entry? Express entry is one of the pathways created for foreign skilled workers to become a permanent resident of Canada. This pathway uses a point’s based system to rank skilled workers who are looking to settle within Canada. Under express entry you must qualify for at least one of the following three immigration programs to submit a profile:  the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class. Within each stream there are minimum requirements that must be met which are outlined on the Canadian Government website.

This pathway works by submitting a profile online for the express entry pool. The profile will then be scored using the Comprehensive Ranking System.  This ranking system will look at many different factors such as the applicant’s skills, age, work experience, language proficiency, education and other factors. Those profiles with the highest scores have the chance to be drawn to receive an invitation to apply (ITA) to submit an application for Permanent Residence within a 60 day deadline. These draws usually take place every two weeks.  Under express entry complete applications are reported to be processed within 6 months or less.

Express Entry Eligible Occupations from Nov 22?

The National Occupational Classification (NOC) is a system that was created to categorize occupations depending on their responsibilities, qualifications and skills. The main job groups are: Skill Type 0 (zero) which are management level positions, Skill Level A that include professional jobs requiring university education, Skill Level B are technical and skill trade jobs, Skill Level C are jobs that require high school diploma or training and Skill Level D are labour jobs.

Under express entry NOCs are used to verify if an applicant’s work experience meets the eligibility for the program. The occupation must be either skill Types 0, A or B under the 2016 Express NOC system. To see if your job meets eligibility standards you can find your NOC code and respective skill type online at the Government of Canada website.
